40K is supposed to be a 'major' servicing... Harmony Motors has this comprehensive package for 40K servicing.... it covers quite a lot the usual change of engine oil and spark plugs... also got flush radiator and auto transmission.... plus some others i cant remb... but i think u can call Joey or go to the harmony folder to check out.... But the charges seems quite steep at ard over $300..... If u go there, do let me know yr comments.... my pica reaching 40K also.... now ard 37K liao Thanks! Hope this helps

Hi Princesshawa,
Does the servicing at Huat Lee involves flushing of radiator and auto transmission? Or did they just do a top up??

I do think that u pay for what you get.
Just do the basic calculation.
Labour = 30, 140-30 =90.
Just my 2 cents worth:) Can 90 bucks buy u enough engine oil and transmission fluid and radiator flush?

Labour = 30, 140-30 =90.
not 140-90=50? or 140-30=110

sorry my maths fail lar:)
harhar. Correct shoulk be 110. Spark plug oem should be around 20. Oil filter around 10.
110-sp-filter = 90.
90 bucks can do so many stuff? I dun think so..
Harhar maybe someone can proof me wrong? Always believe pay peanuts get monkey..

I slightly agree with bro decentboi that paying peanuts get monkey, but i also dont believe in paying 'banana for elephants'? Sorry maybe wrong analogy but you get my point. Seeing is believing.
Bros and sis, I used to be in this line so I urge you guys to be around when the servicing is done. Dont go to the lounge/office/whatever and sit, relax and totally have no idea what the mech is doing to your car. Stand around and see. Make sure they give what they promised.

I have been doing a bit of research for 40K servicing.....
This is the 40km servicing from Harmony. Total is $355 before GST ( I think...)
$138 - Fully Syn EO, Spark Plug, Oil Filter. $88 - Auto Trans Fluid $38 - Brake Flush $38 - Coolant Flush and fill $28 - Power Steering Flush n fill $25 - tyres rotation and balancing
However, i wonder whether it is necessary to do a brake flush and power steering flush n fill although surely good to do so.....
Harmony uses good brand of engine oil also.... For ATF, I think they use the brand Mit Diamond SPIII. Also, many bros here commented on their honest and good service and tt's positive cos all we want is a clean, honest job at reasonable prices....
For really budget one, if u buy like cheaper EO like carlube (esp when it is on discount in Giant now) and get your own ATF and oil filter and spark plugs, there is this service by an uncle at thomson caltex for :
change of engine oil and filter = $15 change of spark plugs = $5
I dunno how much he charges for other services though... and dunno his contact also...
Well, any more info someone else can share?

Maybe for a better view, get a quote from cycle and carriage to compare.
140 sounds to good to be true while 355 sounds a bit steep:) But at least we are aware of Harmony Standards.
To hit 40k, ur car i believe will be more than 3 yrs old liao. Flushing is good cause lubricants degrade overtime. Personally i think 2 yrs is a good gauge.
