Thanks for your reply. Seems like on average is 9km/lit? Has anyone tried fixing those gadget that will save consumption? Any recommendation?

Hi cm,
my ride is 8mth old, when I'm on stock tyre my average fuel consumption is about 9km/lit........
then 3 mths ago I change to A/S tyre & now my FC is about 8km/lit....
so far I happy wth my ride & dun have any problem wth it...
btw, have you booked your ride, care to share what they "throw in" for you. must ask for freebies.... tats what I did for my case, hehehe

My Sportage abt 2 1/2 yrs old. So far no problem. Todate, I still love this car so much.
But, pity it's a 2WD. I'm an outdoor person, I frequent offroading. Could have get a 4WD instead.
If u are using it from Pt A to Pt B, no regrets. FC a bit high, but I guess any 2 litre car abt e same.

wah everybody in here love their sportage huh ... ok ... here is my frank feedback ... been driving it close to 2 years ... it SUCKS!!! i hate it so much becos i lose many drag races to those saloon cars!!! shud have just stick to my EVOIIIGSR!!! so i decide to destroy it and report lost ... been abusing it at TM by going off-roading and ramming the engine ... ramming it upslope and downslope ... ramming it through mud, sand, cement, tree trunks, ditches ... just short of driving it over the water breaker and into the sea ... KNN that SOB just wont die!!! you want??? selling mine ... dont worry ... its still under warranty!!!

I've been driving my 2.7 for past 2 years. My frank advice is, Sportage sucks. Though a 4WD but it just lacks the power required. Still keeping it for my wife's groceries run.

I agree, but for that price S$70,000 ..... there's nothing we can ask for. Probably bcos you have got a Hummer. You shud have got a convertible for yr wife's groceries run.

Hi all, I get 14.4km/l out of mine and I dont have a problem with power cos I got it up graded from 111hp to 145hp. 75000km down and still loving it.
Its a shame you cannot have the diesel model out there too.

But for me, the best still Toyota Land Cruiser - only bcoz it's too expensive here.

Unless u are an all out hardcore.... H1 is even better Now back to buying a Sportage, I would still recommend 1 because I drive 1. All other reasons are not as important. Bernard

I am driving one because I cannot afford a SUV that is more than $60K. Will go for the Volvo, Murano or Lexus if I strike toto tonight.

Got my sportage 4 months ago, so far have no compliant and got pretty good compliments from my friends (who had sat it).
Reason of choicing sportage, 1) within my budget 2) why spend so much on a car in S'pore that only last 10 years.
