Errrrrr.....I do not know how to describe the noise in words, but this noise continues so long as the engine is running. During gear auto change is even more apparent (with air cond completely off), sounds like... yyyeeeeee (gear 2).....yyyyyyyeeeeeeeee (gear 3) ......... so on.... In Neutral gear....just yyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeee Definitely not sound like takkkk taaaakkkkk Service Centre used a looooong metal spanner touching the air cond compressor during the engine rev, and realizerd the vibration is bad. In summary of history, now only 10.5 months old of Carens Theta 1 engine : ~ HORN - 2x (1 original + 1 spare from after-market when original not available) ~ Air-cond compressor - 1x ~ AND YESTERDAY, Boot Opener, opened 70% full, no longer 100%. It means the cylinder rods pressure dropped liao.....wow...... what noise from air con compressor belt? small faint tak tak tak tak and faster with the engine when cold start? My ride at 17300 km range, already facing one spoilt horn, and vibrating air cond compressor. The noise from the vibrating belt.....just do not know how much longer to wait before can get replacement.

8th August 2011 diary : Air conditioner Compressor, which was faulty after Kia Carens 2.0 Theta Engine ran the road for 10 months, was finally replaced.
The original compressor was actually having ball bearing crack, and thus the shaft rotates not smoothly and having jerking effect. It made the air cond belt vibrating during engine running, regardless if air cond is turned on or not.
Now the new compressor is in, and all the noise gone. Back to a normal more familiar quieter interior.

Well, anything can be possible. The only problem is, the root cause analysis results will never be shared with customers, so we would not know. Anyway, the most important "work" I would continue on now is to find out the maximum potential of Carens 2.0 Theta G4KA engine in terms of the lowest Fuel Consumption. About closed to 20k km service, and yet still within warranty period, so cannot attempt any Engine Oil with 0W series yet....which means Amsoil Signature Series cannot be poured in yet.

And the next on my radar : SUSPENSION. Going over humps, sometimes could hear spring releast sound at the back, occasionally at the front.
Making corners, sometimes also heard, though sometimes no.
Anyone experienced this ?

More details, when there are passengers at the second row, only then the spring-release sound "tinggggg" can be heard. But, if I am driving alone, quite difficult to catch this moment, maybe once in a blue moon.

had my back absorber changed half year ago. whenever go through hump, will hear knocking sound, clock clock clock sound. I knew it was spoil as it happened to my old car before. So 1st time went to Ad, they refused to changed and they say its my belonging behind that caused the sound. Only changed on the second time went there And the next on my radar : SUSPENSION. Going over humps, sometimes could hear spring releast sound at the back, occasionally at the front. Making corners, sometimes also heard, though sometimes no. Anyone experienced this ?

Emmm....it just shows this kinds of claim (for shork absorber) might fall into a 50/50 change scenario unless is clearly happening EVERY TIME goes through irregularities on the road and managed to be tested and heard by the Service Centre persons themselves.... had my back absorber changed half year ago. whenever go through hump, will hear knocking sound, clock clock clock sound. Yipee, how much were you charged for the back absorber 1 pair ? Note: I would presume you change 1 pair since it is not likely to change only 1 to ensure balance... And after that any noticeable difference to your ride quality besides no more clock-clock-clock sound ? had my back absorber changed half year ago. whenever go through hump, will hear knocking sound, clock clock clock sound. no charge. under warranty. not much improvement. just the same without the knocking sound. Yipee, how much were you charged for the back absorber 1 pair ?
