I think at 4th gear you are already travelling at 90km/h at 2500RPM... when overdrive kicks in... at the same speed of 90km/h, it will bring the RPM to slightly lower of 2200RPM... yep, i do felt that too

Yes... Its really got 5 gear instead of 4... you can simply count the number of times your gear shift...just observe the drop in RPM you will know we got 5 gears

The autogear for V2 should only have 4 gears. 3 gears + 1 Overdrive. I can test this by switching to tiptronic mode at cruising and it indicates gear 4....

Hahah! Maybe the V1 got that final gear for lower RPM to compensate the lower 106 horsepower campared to the V2 with 121 horsepower?

er... should be other way round? more power so can use a lower gear ratio, but a less powerful car will need a taller ratio to pull the car along.
I'm looking for ways to lower the final drive ratio so that cruising FC will be lower. eg: lower RPM when cruising at 90-100. 2.2K a bit high to me.
Lower the final drive will mean pick up suffers.

I think its normal for all MT cos the 5th gear of MT got higher gear ratio compared to the 4th gear (overdrive) of AT. But overall, MT FC still better in city driving cos can change gears in lower RPM whereas AT can change gears only when certain RPM/ speeds are obtained. But in terms of travelling highway, AT FC will be slightly better than MT due to the lower gear ratio.

I think only when in highway due to the slightly lower RPM... but depends on tyres & road condition too... I'm using wet tyres... so super noisy when travelling highway.... hahaha! But when picking up... think MT more quiet leh...
