How much for the brake pads, front absorber (1 pair) and timing belt? Going servicin soon. Guess have to change all these too. Btw, changing timing belt is the labour exp or the belt exp?

For Brake pads. I would recommend Parut brand that can be bought at the sin ming sector B. Cheap and good. Cost me $35 only for a pair. The timing belt is not that X just that the labour will kill.,... Think it cost 2-3 hundred plus for changing. You have to change the water pump as well when you change your timikng belts.

Is there any Kia/Hyundai parts stockist or must we get from C&C directly? Warranty ending soon, so after that will prefer to buy my own parts and send to my mechanic for servicing -- which is what I do for my old Toyota where there are quite a few Toyota stockists.

Some compatible items which we can use. Fuel Filter ( Hyundai ) : 31112 1G000 The 3 belts number u require for timing belt change : 97713-1C200,57231-29100, 25212-26000 what are the 3 belts that are required for changing? I was told there was 4 belts; timing belt, fan belt, air-con belt and alternator belt. is it really a requirement to change the bearing for the timing belt?

Timing Belt items which you require. Compatible for kia rio as I am using it.
Coolent pump- 25100 26902 2 piece V belt - 57231 29100 Idler assy (Not sure what this serves) - 24810 26020 oil seal -21421 22001,22144 3B001 O - ring -25462 2300 Tensioner assy -24410 2600
This is what I gathered. Check with Fong Yatt to ensure if this is the complete set. Verna, Getz, Matrix and Rio are using the same parts.

Sorry to hijack tread ... before i forgot these things... 1. Engine oil - the above guy's price may not be as competitive as www.mxtradings.com - this mxtradings.com can only get the engine oils + NGK Iridum spark plugs .... others, in my opinion, a tad to ex, especially the NGK G Power Platinum (still sourcing for cheaper source [image] ... The next oil change, I will sure patronise this guy for some engine oil &/or NGK Iridium spark plugs 2. Kia Stockist - Mr Lee of Xinsheng Automotive Pte Ltd. Located at Blk 3016 Ubi Road 1, #04-149. Tel. 62929926. Nice uncle, but better call to confirm availability of stocks before making your way down. for Oil Filter & stock air filter & etc - Some examples of items he has & prices - Oil Filter (for Kia Rio 2004 & universal) - S$4 <- very cheap i think. Air Filter (for Kia Rio 2004) - S$12 <- not cheap, but cant find cheaper alternative ... Wheel Cylinder (for Kia Rio 2004 Rear Drum brake) -S$35 per pc - worth buying. Fuel filter (for Kia Rio 2004) - S$15 per pc. He also sell some bumpers - think stock ones ... He also sells mufflers, etc ... just ask him ba .. Thx Later will modify to put in part no.

when should one change fuel filter? @60k? my ride will emit a short noise occasionally when driving esp after a cold start. sounds abit like the "cik cik' (dunno how to describe) i suspect it is caused by the fuel filter.
