Hi Bro, The problem of coolant and engine was fixed. Now the engine oil and coolant never dip anymore. The problem is, the engine temperature still shows 1/4, even after a long drive. My Carens temp gauge never ever cross the half mark. Always just below. Our radiator fan has 3 mode of operation - low, mid and high. Made sure you can see these 3 mode. Open bonnet, w/o aircon the fan should spin low speed infrequently - you need a very hot day to see it spin. or standstill engine running with bonnet covered and wait for it to spin up. When the aircon is on, the fan always spin. Another thing is the coolant level. Before you use your car for the first time of the day. Check if the coolant in the radiator is fill to the brim. This is because as you mentioned previously you have both EO and coolant leak after repair. If they have touch the coolant system again, there will be air bubble. You need 2~3 cycle to clear it. Make sure the coolant is filled to the brim. Also, top up your spare coolant reservoir to exactly the MAX mark. If your coolant system is OK. It should not dip for months and years.

Hi bro, the aircon sound is sssssss, Anyway, the aircon thing got fixed already. As for the engine sound when i accelerate, it could not be the type of fuel i using. I always use minimum Ron95 since day 1. Anyway, that problem also solved already. Already spent enough hahaha. Century Auto is also getting more expensive these days. It could be the effect from the falling ringgit. I think the country is going to be in trouble if the world economy screw up. Reached new low last Monday 27/1 I think JB workshop is OK for "small" job. If I need major repair, I go KIA Malaysia. When there once to get my ABS light cleared, if the ABS light up, it can only be cleared by KIA GDS equipment. For RM70. As for your aircon sound, is it a Ssss sound or something else ? Sssss sound - low gas, the evaporator is leaking. Try top up gas and see if it goes away, for me, after 1 month, the sound come back again. Got the evaporator & pressure valve changed RM900. Tick, or random tick - Usually it is just rain tree leaf that got stuck in the blower blade. I just take out the filter and stick my hand into the fan blade. If possible, use your smartphone and record a short duration MP3 and upload here (< 1MB size limit). Your engine still have that tick tick sound when you press your accel ? Sound like engine knocking leh. Are you using RON95/98 ?? If no, let your fuel tank go low. Then top up S$10~20 Shell V Power and see if problem goes away. To check if it is indeed knocking.

Hi appletree, can you also PM me the KIA Malaysia address? I found 3 KIA service center locations for JB in KIA official website in Malaysia. Is it one of them? Do they need to do booking like C&C does over here? Outlet: NAZA KIA MALAYSIA JB RED CUBE Address: NO 2, JALAN MUTIARA 6, TAMAN PERINDUSTRIAN PLENTONG, 81750 PLENTONG,JOHOR DARUL TAKZIM Outlet: SUNLIM AUTO SERVICING SDN BHD Address: NO 56, JALAN IMPIAN EMAS 7, TMN IMPIAN EMAS, 81300 SKUDAI, JOHOR BAHRU Outlet: KIA JJ SERVICES SDN BHD (3S) Address: PARCEL D, LOT PTD 147001, JALAN PERMAS UTARA, BANDAR BARU PERMAS JAYA, 81750 MASAI, JOHOR KIA JB is actually next to Century Auto. But I was told that have since moved to another location in JB. I have already PM you a contact with KIA NAZA Malaysia. Call or email them. It is probably your clock spring resistance too high. I changed it myself before I go there. If not, it may still light up again. Another ........ RM70. You can actually stand beside your car when they do the diagnostic with the KIA GDS. Ask them to provide a list of the fault code history. And they will advice you what need to be changed. Actually, the ECU kept all the history ...... ALL. It can only be erase with KIA GDS. Brake light warning will goes off automatically when you solve the problem. I changed the speed sensors and it goes off immediate. Ask the tech, which sensor(s) need to change. Change yourself - USD30 - KORPAS , buy in Singapore S$90, buy in C&C S$160?? + Labour charge. hi bro...the KIA malaysia u have the address??? i need to clear my abs and brake light.... always on...

I think the sale people ever told me something about Plentong new outlet. For my case, I only asked them to do inspection by KIA GDS (Global Diagnostic System) - Report and clear all codes, no repair. So no booking required. You need to be very specific. Inspection, Repair or Inspection cum repair. If you need to change something, you will need to call or email them to check for parts availability. And I think you cannot bring your own parts. PMed. Oooo... getting a pre-owned car is really luck dependant... you are lucky if the previous owner(s) are car lovers & had treated their cars well, otherwise a lot of things to consider... Mine is already 8 years old. Changed the rotor, brake pads, master brake pump and timing belts. Now looking for the OBD port at the steering column.

My car engine overheated yesterday. Coolant reservoir overflow while driving. I stopped and let it cool off and after 5 min, the coolant reservoir lvl dropped. Temperature remained normal throughout the rest of the journey. Since timing belt and water pump is brand new, I suspect it's could be the thermostat. Any Carnival owners had similar issues and found the out the exact problem with such symptoms. Care to share your findings? Thanks in advance.
