Seeking advice regards to my car speedometer.
Initially, when the car is cold, the speedometer works as normal for about 10-14km then it goes dead for the rest of the journey. The speedometer will only works whenever the car cools down for few hours.
I have changed a new speedometer sensor but the result is the still.
Has any of you experienced this same issue? Any recommended solution?
regards

Think u should cannibalise a speedometer from another cerato and test whether is the speedometer faulty rather than u spend more money to buy and test

point noted, but to get someone who is willing to let me use his speedometer is not easy. the workshop that i went do not have any spare speedometer to test also.

Managed to cannibalise a cluster from a nice bro here. But the cluster is not the problem. ZZZ. IS it the ECU?

Any workshop know how to fix? The lack of speedo really affects the transmission gear shift.

Dear all,
i managed to gather some info for this issue. This is a very common problem for cerato. it is not due to faulty speed sensors or cluster but rather this occurs because of the old wiring harness that it is not getting enough current at some times when the car heats up.
Change your wiring harness and you know what mean.
