oops mistake I made ..its 80/20 streets/highways .. I am so opposite of what you do! Not waxed my car, in fact never waxed any of my cars before ..seldom wash also..hahahaha Its got an open pod filter, my tyres are usually pumped to about 10-15% of max pressure - which is suppose to help with FC. Alas, I don't have the patience to change up early but i do try and coast and anticipate change of signal light when driving on streets.

i got 121hp which is enough to push the car with max torque coming in early. so i try to keep the rpms low to waste excessive combustion. because i know the next thing i will be angered by some other vehicle and i will be pushing up to 4k which is the way we should all drive less the petrol worries. it evens out then to a 12km/l ceratos dont cruise very well above 80. for best fc try keeping it 80-90. so doesnt work very well for me since i go higher, but at least its not start-stop on the e-way.

the car came with an open pod ..i tried looking for a stock box, no luck with that .. in fact i had to remove stuff from the previous owner which were not to my taste .. anyone with a 7" wide rim? Whats the correct offset to clear fenders and calipers?

When u hv 7" wide rim, it should easily clear ur stock caliper.
Anyway mine is 17" x 7.5 damn poor in FC lolz

..what's your offset for the 7.5"? Our stock is either +38 or +40 ..cos i never had the stock wheels? The 16" i had was a +40 but I don't recall the width ...so I got a new 15x6.5 in +40 and it fouled the calipers! Had to use 2mm washers to create the clearance .. ;D

Ain't sure what's the off set. My previous 17"x7jj rim (pre-owned) also fail to clear my caliper due to the design I think. need 7mm spacer to clear. This 17"x7.5jj, technically, wider = more room from the center of the rim to edge or rim surface (7"/2 vs 7.5"/2). It clear stock caliper easily and I think should be no issue for bigger BBK.

Me the cheapo type. Still using the old Ralliart rims fr Lancer GLX. Already on 2nd set of Yoko E501. FC wise, 13-14km/l, M'sia NSHW can clocked 16km/l with 110-120km/h travel.

wah 7mm spacer...thats extreme! Actually, the concern is the way the spokes are design when taking into consideration the mounting surface of the wheel, some wheel's spoke curves or taper inwards, limiting caliper clearance. I had a chance to try 3 different wheels with the same offset of +40, and only the one I use now touches the caliper, other 2 wheels (my old one and my friend's) no problem. Anyway, there is a big difference now that I changed from 16"to 15" i'll probably write about it later.

Hi bro,
So far as from I know is that for replica rims the ultra light weight rims is at 4.9kg for rims. This is lightest so far. Unless u r speaking with orignal rims that will be lugi lighter, per rim is about 3.8kg. That is really consider light in 15 inch rims. A nd yr FC will definately improve. But must take care yr orignal rims as it really expensive.

16" SSR Replica is best to get from AL tyres solely for PCD 4 x 114.3 4 holes specifically with SSR white caps also....
15" you can try getting 8 holes dual PCD....but not sure if there is any SSR replica for 15"....can check other shops...
