The old trend is to buy parts in Singapore and go JB and fixed it as parts in JB is more expensive. But recently, like my aircon issue, engine mount ...... it seems that they are actually slightly cheaper. If that the case, just use the spare part from them. BTW, Malaysia has excise duty for auto part. In general, mechanical parts and frequent replacement part is cheaper there now. Electronic sensors/part like O2 sensor. .. Buying from Korea direct is still much cheaper. Example like ABS sensor, I buy in Korea website at about S$45, Singapore shop selling S$90, JB ...... can't find. Bro, Thanks for replying. I got a few items that I need to change namely: 1. The hydraulic pump for our rear boot door 2. Window assembly (the wire that control the up/down motion) You have any recommendation? The old trend is to buy parts in Singapore and go JB and fixed it as parts in JB is more expensive. I think the pump for boot door you can try to buy locally, try Fong Tat at race course road. If you want to buy from Korean, do the following : a) Find out the part number. i) Most parts in our Carens have part number mark on the part itself. Try to see you can find it. ii) If not marked, you can go online to check at : www.kiapartsoverstock.com/www.kiapartsoverstock.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_assembly=1068608&ukey_make=1100&ukey_model=16034&modelYear=2008&ukey_category=24301Get the part number and check with www.koraps.com if they have the part. iii) You will need your vehicle VIN number (Car Chassis Number). iv) Cut and paste the part number & description and together with your VIN. Send an email to Koraps to check for you. The reason for asking you VIN ID is to check the part number for you in a Database software called Microcat. b) Buy in JB - Kia Malaysia or most spare shop called our KIA Carens as KIA Rondo. If you tell them Kia Carens, then you will end up with the older model Kia Carens 1.8/2.0 As for cable assembly, I dont think you can get it. If the connector is totally unusable ...... You can join back the wire by soldering or buy the whole assembly. BTW, cable harness on the back plane is irreplaceable ........ so, try not to cut any wire harness in your car ...... if possible. Also a note of ethnics, distribute your buying habit between vendors. I usually rotate vendor randomly for good time stake between Singapore, JB and Korea ....... Bro, Thanks for replying. Noted. Thanks. Would check on both places that you suggest. For the cable, our KIA carens had this metal plate that is used as a noise damper I think. Our window assembly is behind that plate, think maybe need to send back to C&C. As a last resort, my mechanic just use a temporary structure to hold the window up, else I think my car going under water with the raining session here. He said might need to purchase the whole plate, anyway we did not dismantle the plate from the car I think the pump for boot door you can try to buy locally, try Fong Tat at race course road. Yes. I just ordered a coolant pump kit and I think I want to try changing it. It will be fun for a lazy Sunday. Internet said that the pump need to be change about 60~90K Miles. I only noticed that my reserve coolant reservoir is dipping a bit every week. I used top up every every. Anyway, I saw water mark at the water pump already. You can buy the whole pump or just the sub-assembly + gasket. Sub-assembly of Pump 2513025002 GASKET - WATER PUMP - Engine to pump 2512425001 GASKET - WATER PUMP 2511025002 PUMP SUB ASSEMBLY - COOLANT. Whole Pump Assembly 2510025002 PUMP ASSEMBLY - COOLANT. 2513025002 GASKET - WATER PUMP - Engine to pump Anyway my vehicle is already 5yrs old so believe many small issues her and there would arise.

Yes open the side panel of the door and you will know what I mean. The mechanic told me it is like a noise damper. Maybe that is what keeping our ride quiet. Not all vehicle are fitted with this, only a few Asian make model ad we are the lucky few. A piece of metal plate ? Noted. Thanks. Would check on both places that you suggest.
