New record on the mileage per tank:
680km to reserve light on 714km to needle just touching the bottom line, pumped 62.22 litres
I guess the attendant really topped up my tank to the brim on the last fill-up.

came bk from kl yesterday, I would say k5 is indeed a very nice ride to cruse on highway. Ave cruising speed 140-160km/h, ride is stable, no floating. It feels more stable at high speed than my previous forester, think is due to the firmer suspension and lower ride Wind noise can be heard once above 150km/h. Nixen tire is noisy but with decent performance. Was pouring heavily along NSHW and cruising confidently at 120~130km/h with no sign of losing traction. Did a fuel stop @ 650km, 1/4 mark. The car trip computer shows 150km to empty, which means I can potentially clock 800km with a full tank. Pretty decent fc on highway

Should be a 70 litre tank, using shell 98.

Should be a 70 litre tank, using shell 98. 70L is a little amazing for K5, of course it hurts real bad when pumping.

I just realised yesterday our K5 got security alarm (horn) if there is a break in...Almost wanted to install the security alarm last week...heng ah ;D

really envious of you K5 owners. test drive the car really like it alot. but the price tag is way beyond reach liao. my 4yr old cerato V2 was only $40k+ when new. the older magentis my friend bought was only $58k too. dun mind bros can pop me a pm even at 0.99% whats the minimum dp?

I do find the k5 overpriced in view of the $18k omv... It is a very nice ride indeed, no regret so far. I got it during pre-launch, interest was @ 1.99% then..... I think the catch for 0.99% is if u take up at least $80k loan if i not wrong.... u can choose not to put dp, 100% loan..... Think C&C has slashed the premium model by $10k, not sure they are still selling the non premium model.....

Thanks bro mcc for the response. lets see if thursday COE will be coming down. didnt have a good chance to test the power pickup at ubi area. will consider going to lengkee to test drive again. there longer stretch test route can feel the power of a 2litre.

Thanks bro mcc for the response. lets see if thursday COE will be coming down. didnt have a good chance to test the power pickup at ubi area. will consider going to lengkee to test drive again. there longer stretch test route can feel the power of a 2litre. u r welcome Let me contribute more review abt k5 in restrospect with my previous rides. Maybe helpful in ur decision My wife made a comment during last wkend tat I drove slower with the k5. I realised wat she commented is true. I do push my previous forester xt hard quite often to enjoy the power. Subaru engine is more refine and quieter, hence enjoyed reving the rpm to feel the power. However subaru auto tranny kinda lack... I dun push K5 hard because the engine sound harsh and noisy once above 3500rpm. It is smooth and refine while cruising within 2~3k rpm, really enjoyable cruising the k5 along the highway... The 6 speed tranny is good and refine, way better than subaru!! I like the firm suspension and the heavy steering, rather conti like. The feeling is rather similar to my preivous ford mondeo (previous model) which was oftenly used as a 2L benchmark car for car mag reviews. K5 is more powerful than the mondeo but in terms of handling, mondeo feels more nimble and agile, like driving a smaller car. K5 feels more clumsy maybe because it is much longer than mondeo. Mondeo tranny sucks! In terms of ride comfort, I would compare it with my previous 2L renault megane where french car is more well known for their comfortable ride. Renault has softer suspension and very nice seat that wrap your body contour. No doubt, the moment u sat on the french car u will feel very comfortable. The sound insulation is better than K5. K5 has firm seat, like mercs, BMW. Some ppl commented it is too hard. For short driving trip, I would definitly prefer renault, more comfortable. For long trip, like driving up to KL which i do quite often to visit my in-laws, firm seat is better, u will feel less tiring as compared to softer seat, strange but it is true. K5 is more powerful than 2L megane as well, renault auto tranny sucks too! Cons for K5 - engine loss refinement once above 3500 rpm - sound insulation - local leather seat dun feel lush and the seam kinda shoddy other than the above, k5 is a pretty decent ride
