funny why SGP is only 2.0L?? Not funny la, think about it, speed trap, police car under cover, camera over head, speed limit to 90, too many cars etc.... give you 2.4 Turbo also hard to pass 3 gear, so what's the point having a big car, unless you like to burn petrol.

Bro Quaszar, my FC quite jialat. About 11.8 to 12.4 L/100km. That works out to be 8 to 8.5 km/L. Morning drives my wife to work at her school in Teck Whye nearby and back. Short distance with many traffic lights. Then later go to work by BKE, PIE but also stuck in jam. Same thing coming home but slightly better. So maybe that explains my poor FC. For run-in, some say first 1k. But manual say dun nid special run-in. Just dun keep to a certain speed for long and dun hard throttle above 3k rpm, dun chiong like F1 drivers can liao. Personally, I jus try not to go above 3k rpm. Then cruising try some times 80, 90 and 100km/hr. But its quite difficult in Spore roads especially when u want to over-take. Bro Hammy74 is driving Sorento rite? Maybe sorento different. But for my sportage, didn't experience any vibration. Maybe my butt thick skin. Heehee. I try monitor for the next few days. Bro Ocean, lets organize a meet-up. The carpark at Blk 643 just beside Yew Tee MRT is good. No MSCP ramp and not crowded. But I can only confirm some times quite last min as I work at construction site and sometimes activities can b last-min one. Cheers everyone! Weekend coming but still must work on Sat. Haha. Before my 1K servicing, my FC was about 8.9 - 10.9 L/100 KM. Now, after the 1K servicing, it's gotten worse 11.0 - 12.9 / 100 KM. Why ah?

Bro Quaszar, my system-6 PPS is already done for when I collect my ride. No need to pay or go do myself. How u know yr paint kena eaten into? My FC improves after my 1k service. Now is 9.8 to 10.6L/100km. So that is 10.2km to 9.4km /L. I'm using v-power.
Guys, intoduce you all to this good product: Permanon by beaconenterprise. U can find it in the merchant section. I used this when I was in Vios forum and now to KIA, I still use it. If you cannot afford the time to detail a big car like sportage and sorento, I recommend you to use this. If I use this brilliantshine shampoo and permanon shine sealant, I can detail our sportage ext in 1.5hrs. If I use my meguiare ultimate shampoo, dry it, ultimate liquid wax and tire shine, it takes almost 3hrs. I cannot comment on the product duration as I wash and detail every weekend. But Meguiare products does gives it a slight win in overall smoothness and gloss. Jus a slight win. But permanon saves u a lot of sweat and time. I have been using all these products since I collected my car and so far, my fingers running over the paint surface tells me no nid for clay yet.
Sigh.... no time to meet u guys up yet not to mention a convoy. A quick one at Blk 643 HDB basement carpark maybe can. So busy with work, household chores, taking care of baby etc.

How much u paid for it?
Generally, there aren't much issues with the car but of course, it depends on wat r yr expectations. For a general family use for point A to point B, its not bad and comfy. The only issues I can think of are: 1) Pickup speed not very good (But then if u want to chiong, u will have selected other makes) 2) Sound insulation can b better but the stock audio system is very good already. On some music u cannot hear much road noise. 3) Parking. Sportage is quite big and wide. So getting dents on the doors is an issue sooner or later. 4) Washing and detailing. Very time consuming as its a big car. NOTE: If u apply leather conditioner, pls note our leather seats are perforated type, i.e tiny holes on the leather (I google and discover that actually only higher-end cars gives this type of 'luxurious' leather. So if u use somw conditioner with colour, it gets stuck in those holes. I'm using meguire ultimate series and its fine. 5) No legal HKS ot TTE exhaust. Haha.

Haha. 2nd hand at 108K SX registered Feb 2011 Pick up can be improve, car too heavy but moving around is more than good enough. Definitely a head turner. Heard from Korean Kia engineer (previous Kia Clinic), open pod does add on a few horse power. Dings and dents on doors can be minimized by installing side steps. At least 2 front doors are covered. 2 back doors feels a little light weighted. Big A beams blocking left and right side views. Takes a little more time to accommodate to turning due to higher, wider and slighter longer dimensions. Sound proving can be improve. If come with factory install reverse cam even better. Washing and detailing is a pain in the ass as well.

like that I also can be Kia engineer. Which open pod doesn't give you extra Bhp. My zero 1000 which fitted on my FD is like hell. Once hit 3000 rpm, . Make me step even more. The Sportage is too heavy to mod. Add this, add that, it will make your low end suffer even more. By the time you hit high end, the engine is roaring like mad. Got use meh?? Stock is the best.

There's 2 Sportage SX on sale. One is white (if I rememnber correctly) & the other is blue. Don't know which one you bought. Well, do a research on the Sportage. There are tons of info in the web. Doglover, how come you never showcase your car to Ocean & me. Hide one corner is it. Don't let us see your Orange car..

I bought the blue one @ 108k, I find that the white one from republic auto mileage is slightly higher, age is half year older than the blue one and selling @ the same price.

The white SX is the first batch from C&C. Bluetooth is local fitted. But it comes with 6 speakers + sub woofer. But it does not have side airbag. The blue one which you brought is the 2nd batch which consist of factory fitted bluetooth + side airbag. But they took away the sub woofer.

He can be qualified to be a KIA engineer mah....
You mean to say the first batch of sportage, the bluetooth is factory fitted from Korea.
Do you guys experience the roaring of the engine even if you stepping on the accelerator gently?

Air intake may add a couple of horses but it will not be evident in our day to day driving. Adding open pod is not a good idea for our auto rides. Open pod more for manual. For Auto better to use stainless steel mesh-type or K&N drop-in filter. Actually, hard to believe, since day 1 till now, I never go meddle the engine bay. Haha. Maybe adding a CAI pipe with drop-in is good enough. Jus sad no legal exhaust. But then staying stock does eliminate the hassle of dekitting and resale those performance parts.
