Well said. China is still very new to car industry, wat they need is some more time to get it mature. Furthermore with the low $$, wat else did u aspect? It's basically wat paid wat u get lo. So far yet to hear any friend driving Geely complain abt their ride but i did hear Chery the most.
Well, then maybe you might wanna get my review on Geely CK.
Bro Ace, don't get me wrong. I'm not aiming you but stating a fact. I hope to help you pin-point what's good and not abt Geely.
I still think the manual one is ok.
Last aug, I test-drove a manual Geely CK. Found it pretty acceptable cos like all china-makes, that kind of price, don't ask too much lar ....
Then my lady friend, who sat in during the test drive, decided to get an auto one @ $42K. We both believe in the 'Toyota Soluna' theory, thinking and believing that the engine would be pretty fuel efficient & smooth.
But alas, it was not to be. She drove for 3 mths and sold it even when she lost almost $20k!
Reason ? It's a 3-Speed auto car ( I don't remember Soluna is a 3-spd auto ), with mileage of 8km/litre of fuel.
Surprisingly, the auto is so much sluggish compared to the manual one. I didn't believe her so I tried it out myself. True enuff, it's a 3-spd car.
So who can we blame for getting such a deal? The salesman?
Definitely NOT.
We can only say we are idealistic abt china-makes using jap technology.
Well, the koreans took 20 yrs (1st Hyundai Stella arrived in SG in 1987) to arrive where they are now. China likewise.
My friend is now driving a Jazz since last dec. As for me, I opt for Picanto instead.
To Bro Ace : I believe you are a sincere & honest guy trying to make a living. But I also believe you are a realistic guy too. Hope my review helps.
PS : Anyway, Chery got worse reviews. Anything can fall apart anytime. I test-drove it liao.
So all the best bro.
