But no matter how 'R' any car can be, still cannot compare with the real Civic Type R... ;D

Of course cannot compare lah, you are paying $50+K for a 1.6 with 140bhp comparing paying $70+K for a Civic equivalent but higher road tax so consider very worth it.

Besides the road tax and car price of both cars, the suspension of Civic is very low compared to Cerato which is not very good when going over high hump when full load but Cerato, you will have no problem with that and the interior comfort and quietness in Cerato, you will not get that in Civic.

Wonder if the C&C got any way to 'upgrade' normal cerato into R? hahaa They do have but u pay mark-up prices to C&C for the conversion which my SE asked me whether do I wan it before I collected my normal V2. 1st question I asked, anything done to the engine internals? The reply was nothing which I straightaway rejected his offer.

The reply was nothing which I straightaway rejected his offer. If nothing then how to achieve the claimed 140hp figure? Exhaust + ECU only? Mods to air intake, re-flash of ecu and a bit of tuning is all it takes to achieve claimed 140bhp as informed by my SE with it's stock claimed 121 bhp enhine, a difference of 19bhp... Biggest bhp gains should be frm re-flash of e ecu+tuning, I guess...

It's not re-flash only. Tat VR had gone thru Full Data Logged thru dyno run. Tat's y they can claimed the hp gain. I'd seen the dyno chart for the 1st generation of VR with exos modded.
A better set of plugs + better intake + ECU tuned shold b on par with VR ba. It'll cost less than $1k. Personally dun like open pod, a drop-in should b sufficient enough as i still prefer the quietness of V2.

Bro, the VR ECU tunning is done by Joey (Harmony Motor). Creative Sports only touch on the bodykit, seats, engine intake & exos. So u'd done ur QF?
