Aint sure myself also, just read that can be use on the headers, sort of like a coating... there is also tis ceramic coating of some sort which helps in reducing heat also... Dunno where to get it done in Singapore or JB, anybody?

Cos the one pictured above is an aftermarket 4-1 ouput header.. U can wrap ur stock one, but most shops will say no need unless u are running on the header pictured above... Good for heat retention... And its not that cheap also..

Your extractor will crack after wrapping up for sometime. Be careful. Yeah, best if u are using stainless steel ones... For those mild steel ones, need to be careful..

they seem to be using boron nitride coating. according to www.advceramics.com/downloads/documents/81504.pdf this article, boron nitride coat is good conductor.. doesn't it mean it'll conduct heat readily away from the surface making it 'cooler'?

Bro you changed your headers? How much? Heard changed your ECL will always be lite up right? ECL lite up versus more power, i guess it depends which 'bothers' you more but if you're environmentally friendly then this dilemma is invalid.

hmmm... KIV then, seems like ceramic coating is better... yeah.. if you have the chance, peep under the hood of the new Jazz at Kah, the headers are ceramic coated too.

ECL lite up versus more power, i guess it depends which 'bothers' you more but if you're environmentally friendly then this dilemma is invalid. I beg to differ, ECL light up doesn't necessary=more power as when ECL lighted, the ECU sense that there is a faulty sensor in place which will cause the engine to run at a "richer" fuel/air mixture and at 70% of the full power in order to "protect" the engine. I do not know if our ride(O.B.D. 2) is affected by this but as a general rule of thumb, all ECL are supposed to work like this.
