Hi, regarding this short shifter, actuall the really short shfter is suppose to make u change gear faster by throwing method .Which means that u need to push a bit only to engage the gear.I already compare the sfl racing short shifter with our stock one and the two balls below that connect to the gear wire below has the same length and bend deg as our stock one.The only diff is the stem length which is shorter about 1 inch from ours .The one i saw on kfx website is better cause it come with adjustable ball so that u can fine tune your gear engagement. As for the sfl racing type u can diy your stock by cutting off 1 inch which is the length of the gear knob thread. For pic and diy info pm me your email. As for the sfl racing product i bought some from them but the price is abit high but quality product.

If both have same length to the ball, then not really short shifter mah.. ...In tat case, mine oso short shifter..I oso already DIY cut my stem using pipe cutter..the whole thread portion gone....

Hit the arm rest - NO. Hit the hand-brake knob - YES. Bcos the short-shift is designed for LH-Drive. As I have mentioned before, the "throwing angle" is about the same with stock. But the length is shorter than stock (according to 1 bro, is about 1" or whatever). As for the gear knob, it better to use a "stick design" rather than a "round-design" like our stock.

If tat's really the case, then can just chop off the top of the stock shifter a bit rite?
