I booked my Cerato @ C&C Leng Kee in Jan 2008. The SE Derek said the shipment will come in Mid March 08. I secured my COE on the first try. When I called in the 3rd week of March, SE said shipment will be delayed to April 08 but that is not confirmed. When I pressed further, he said even his CEO did not know the exact next shipment date. What is going on in C&C? They event have the guts to do a big Roadshow in March while knowing that they cannot deliver what they promise to customer. They are making false promises after promises. I felt being cheated. The reason they give for the delay? Kia is exporting more cars to US! What a joke, man! because as we know, the US$ is going down and it is very expensive to buy export cars! I tried to google for the real reason of the delay but cannot find a satisfactory answer. C&C MUST stop promoting Kia for the time being if they knew about the delay things. I am very frustrated now. I will not recommend anyone from now on to buy KIA cars. Those of you of would be Kia buyer, stop your intention to buy Kia. I hope anyone of you here having the same problem as mine, please come in and share your problem and frustration here.

No Worry Bro, my friend also encounter the same problem when she book her Picanto... promise to delivered in Feb... but till early March still no NEWs....
But then go "bang" table, calculate the COE losses for the day... actually quiet small amount (less than $100/mth), the inconvenience causes, the C & C reputation if go to CASE.... lol
Then got a courtesy car from them... even the petrol can be claim from them! Manage to get her Picanto just Ytd...

Dear member, I understand your frustration for not getting your car after so many months but the shipment delay happens to any agent of any makes as there might be some delay on the stock availability from the country of origin. If you ask many members here, some of them might experience longer shipment delay than you but most importantly, what C&C promise to deliver the car to you, they will have to adhere to it.

bro dodol...truly understand your frustration, the main concern for C&C is to get you signature on the dotted lines...like some bros mentioned, go and bang some table with C&C, tell the to compensate you in other way....am sure they will ! no harm giving a try...afterall it's the matter of time you will get your hand on the wheel...
but thank God, I got my Cerato withing 8 days after i signed the papers, i likely there is ready stock lah

I am in the same exact situation as you but if there is really no shipment for Cerato, what can we do? We also can't expect C&C to manufacture and assemble the Cerato V2 in their backyard, right? All i can do is pray and wait.... I've posted a similar post like yours in another topic which I hope all affected would be Kia owners can do something aganist C&C? How about a kopi meet-up and discuss any solutions for all those affected would be Kia owners whom booked in Jan 08 and before and are still waiting for their ride to arrive?

As long as the SE delivered according to date stated on purchase order, then u cant do anything to them. Unless it had been delay then only u can go bang their table & ask for compensation.

dont buy kia car... no body value.. japanese car more value Bro, I agree with Bro Ben, the value of your car are mainly based on your paper value. As for the body, it depends on the buyer to quote. take my previous ride for example, Altis, people say made in Thailand no value, but i managed to sell it higer that Sunny. Even my car body is higher than them. Pardon me for saying this, if you think KIA is so bad, why are driving one now. I think you should be one since you are a season member here. If you really like the car, it will worth the wait Cheers..

Pardon me for saying this, there are many owners who regretted after they made a switch to Thailand made Toyota cars thinking that it is the same as those made in Japan but it is not. With the standard of the Korean cars, it is now on par or even better than the Japanese makes as they do not cut cost a lot on their cars and most importantly, all their parts are still made in Korea. If your Korean car is out of warranty or when you need to an accident repair, you do not have to worry that the workshop will use China made parts to replace for you but charging you the original parts pricing. It is because all Korean car parts are only from Korea and those korean cars in other countries like China or Europe are only meant for domestic market only, no export allowed. I am in the automotive parts market so I am aware with all these informations. Those who look down on Korean cars, let them be as they have never driven one so they do not know the advantages of Korean cars but we know. Above is just my sharing only.

wat u guys miss is tat bro teriyaki was being sarcastic towards bro dodol.. its tat obvious... im a KIA driver myself & i do feel the pinch if someone says, "I will not recommend anyone from now on to buy KIA cars. Those of you of would be Kia buyer, stop your intention to buy Kia." only difference is that bro teriyaki is more direct in his comments which i suppose its necessary sometimes to let the opposing guy to wake up his idea.
i understand wat bro dodol & teriyaki have done were simply out of frustration. im not on anyone's side. i aplologize now if i have offended anyone by sharing my comment.

I NEVER say Kia cars are bad! Please read my post properly. I am only questioning C&C position in this regard as they make false promises! If there are any parallel importer for Cerato other than C&C, please go ahead to buy from that PI. For ghost79, good luck to you if u think C&C really can deliver what they promise that the shipment will come on 25 this month. Even when call my SE, he cannot confirm the exact date. Once you sign on the dotted line, the story will be different...

bro, i too did not mention tat u said KIA cars are bad. its fine if u say tat u wont recommend others to buy KIA, but giving a statement to stop others from buying KIA cars juz not relevant. this is a KIA forum. i would think otherwise if u were to say stop buying from C&C. anyway, i may have misinterpreted wat u trying to say & i hereby apologize for tat...

Bro danisan, No heart feeling. Its my mistake also. Actually, its a typo error. The correct sentence should be " I will not recommend anyone from buying Kia cars FROM C&C." I hope PI will bring in Cerato in S'pore. Btw, is there any PI for Cerato?
