How far will depends on how best u can stretch ur milleage. Off aircon, drive at appropriate speed/rpm, etc.

Hi all, Just curious to find out from u guys, when the empty fueel light up, how far can the car goes. Me driving F/L manual, only dare to try 20KM. Thanks I driving auto F/L... normally when light up, I can pump about 28L... 35L(Full tank) - 28L = 7L (reserve tank)... this is only an estimated for my own car... by the way, I had tried to travel the most about 60km before pumping 32L... I feel 50km is quite safe..... unless you are very heavy footed and stuck in a bad jam... just my own idea...

there was once i was in tuas going to orchard road.. before leaving from tuas the light came out , I drove pass SPC at tuas ( SPC no 12% discount ) so i passed it.. wait till exit stevens than pump..
suddenly bukit batok area all the way jammed to stevens.. than i started to panic in car ( imagine traffic jam and your car still stopping there causing more trouble for others )
super ma Lu

u can use 14km/l as a rough guide . Normally if the indicator lights up u can still drive 5lx14km/l=70km . I personally tried that b4 , to play safe u can drive another 50 or 60km b4 topping up to the brim ( not those auto cut).

reserve tank if i am not wrong is 5L.. yes reserve is 5 liters so can go at least another 60km base on worst FC of 12liters/km. But best pump if the lights on cos if run till empty car will have air lock and even u pump to full the car wont start.

anyone else here got problem pumping in $50 worth of petrol?
why $50? cos i think all of us got the $3 petrol discount voucher from various petrol station that requires purchase of $50 worth of petrol pumped before can use.
i only pump RON92, sometimes difficult to get that amount. only managed to try once when I managed to squeeze in 32.1 litres. that's driving for another 50km after the light has come out.

i think it is best not go far into reserve. when the pump lite up, you are still safe to go ard 10-20km for a petrol station

:Thinking:If most of the time go till reserve then pump, will tis cause damage to the fuel pump in the long run

I drove around 90+km after light up with traffic jam and air-con on. Pump 36.87L to max.

Depending on your FC. If you maintain your driving style, at highway, also take consideration into traffic jam. Say my FC is 15. Reserve tank is 6 Litres. 90km is the max.

Bros, I have got this advice from my friend, which is true.
I have checked with him, why is my fuel consumption unable to meet 14km/l, i'm always stuck with 10 to 11km/l. He taught me to pump every 2/4, i tried. Was amazing!!!
I always pump when it is 2/4 (est. 250km) so every 2 pump is almost 500km which is est. equavilent to 1 full tank.
If i were to drive till empty then pump est. 36L to full tank and it can only goes up to 360km to 380km.
Try and believe it!
